This façade is a strong signal, a landmark in the city (Paris 12th arrondissement). The architectural project engages users, visitors, and passersby by offering unexpected visual and sensory effects. The white-on-red line patterns of the façade develop into irregular moiré effects.
Technique
The laminated tempered glass bears a pattern of random lines in relief on its outer surface. Its colour was defined by the application a thin metallic golden yellow layer and its degree of transparency by the addition of a variable screen-printed clear enamel.
