This façade is a strong signal, a reference-point in the city (Paris 12°). The architectural project deceives the users, visitors and passers-by, proposing unexpected visual and sensory effects. Thus, the façade’s pattern of white-on-red lines develop into irregular moiré patterns.
Technique
The laminated tempered glass bears a pattern of random lines in relief on its outer surface. Its colour was defined by the application a thin metallic golden yellow layer and its degree of transparency by the addition of a variable screen-printed clear enamel.
