European Jewish Center

Paris – France, 2019

The European Jewish Center is a place of gathering and also an architectural, social and spiritual landmark. The synagogue stretches vertically thanks to large glass panels that reach towards the sky.

These glass windows accentuate the sacred dimension of the building by being inspired by the motifs of the talit, the prayer shawl, which the Jews cover themselves with to pray.

Gold, a symbol of preciousness, animates the façade with thousands of reflections, changing throughout the day. Silver yellow, an ancestral material, brings a warm and serene atmosphere to the interior of the nave to optimise concentration during prayer.
