European Jewish Center

Paris – France, 2019

Serving as an architectural, social, and spiritual signal, the European Jewish Center is a gathering place. The synagogue stretches vertically with large glass elements reaching towards the sky.

These stained glass windows enhance the sacred dimension of the structure by drawing inspiration from the patterns of the tallit, the prayer shawl worn by Jews during prayer.

Gold, a symbol of preciousness, animates the façade with multitudes of reflections that change throughout the day. The yellow hues produced by the traditional silver stain technique creates a warm and serene atmosphere inside the nave, optimizing focus during prayer.
