Great Hall of Auvergne

André Gresy

France

2002

This façade, promoted by the President of the Auvergne Regional Council, presents the region through photographs screen-printed in enamel onto the glass. Economic activity, landscape, famous figures, this is the region introducing itself to its visitors. Enamelled onto the glass in high definition with variable levels of transparency, the images create a screen that offers a glimpse of the historic Gergovie plateau.

Techniques:
Each of the glass panels bears a different design in enamel realised in high definition thanks to the technique of chromography. This indelibly printed glass also receives a treatment that ensures maximum sound insulation.
